DesiFest: Movement and Memory
Join DesiFest and the Springfield Public Library for an evening of Classical Indian Dance and Storytelling from the South Asian Diaspora. The event will be held at the Springfield Public Library at 5:30PM Tuesday, April 22.
Experience an evening where dance is juxtaposed with storytelling, in an exploration of movement, memory, identity, and heritage.
Featuring Sitara Carden (Classical Indian Dance) and Jaclyn Moyer (storyteller and author of On Golden Hill), both second-generation South Asian American Artists. This Event reflects on the complexities of belonging and cultural connection through art.
