Join the Springfield Public Library for a free showing of the 2022 meta buddy flick The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 21th at the Wildish Community Theater in downtown Springfield.
Nick Cage stars as Nick Cage, a famous actor who has found himself on hard times. Needing to find a quick way to cover his financial hardship, Nick takes a million dollar offer from Javi, a rich Super Fan who wants Cage to spend time with him on his Birthday. But when it’s slowly revealed that Javi is not all that he seems, Nick gets wrapped up in a crazy CIA plot straight out of one of his movies. This film is rated R for Language throughout, some sexual references, drug use, and violence.
