Shoot for the Moon Springfield!

Springfield Public Library’s film series SpringFilm  presents 2009’s Sci Fi Indie Darling, Moon in honor of the Eclipse.

Join the Springfield Public library as we take a moon walk at 6:30PM, on Wednesday October 18th at the Wildish Theater. In the not-so-distant future, moon mining has become a lucrative and automated operation. The lone worker on the Moon’s surface, is Astronaut Sam Bell, who is nearing the end of his Lunar Contract. Everything seems to be going fine, until Sam accidentally crashes his lunar rover and loses consciousness. When he comes to, his life will never be the same again….

Starring: Sam Rockwell, Benedict Wong, Dominique McElligott and Matt Berry; directed by Duncan Jones; 97mins; (2009).

SpringFilm continues at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday!!, November 21st with a free showing of the comedic film“School of Rock”.

SpringFilm is made possible by a partnership between the Springfield Public Library, the Springfield Public Library Foundation, Willamalane Parks and Recreation District, and the Wildish Community Theater, and is generously sponsored by Plank Town Brewing Company.
