Summer Solstice Cemetery Tour @ Laurel Grove!
Presented by the Springfield History Museum
Laurel Grove Cemetery, Judkins Road, Glenwood
June 21, 5pm-7pm

Join us at Laurel Grove Cemetery for an evening of food and drinks, music, and local history! In collaboration with the Laurel Grove Cemetery Board, we will be celebrating the Grove's 169 years as a community cemetery, and learning the stories of its residents. From early pioneers to politicians to baseball players and beyond, this family-friendly free event will have something for everyone! Live music provided by Llorona, and free snacks provided by the Springfield History Museum. Please dress for the weather (whatever it may be), and wear sturdy shoes. For more information, please call 541-726-2300 or email springfieldmuseum@springfield-or.gov. As always, admission is free and you don't need to reserve a spot-just bring your sense of adventure and join us at the Grove!

More about the live music... With a combined musical experience of 100 year or so, the four members of Llorona have been playing the Eugene music scene in notable bands such as Son Melao, Mood Area 52, Malanga, Wellsville, Los Helados, The Long Hello, Dogtooth, Brother in Law, and Corwin Bolt & the Wingnuts.  They combine their talents to bring you ghost stories, tales of love and loss, truths and dreams at the crossroads of traditional Mexican and contemporary styles.  It’s a beautiful and haunting experience of an enigmatic category that might best be called ghost folk.
