Wordcrafters Writing Workshop: Five Steps to Your First Podcast with Brendan O’Meara In-Person

Learn how to produce your own podcast from start to finish with Brendan O’Meara.

Podcasting is the new blogging, but where to start? In this two-hour class, you'll learn exactly what a podcast is, what format of show you'd like to produce, develop a repeatable workflow, and learn what gear and software you'll need to produce your very own show. It might seem complicated, but this class will break down the barrier of entry so you can create a show available for download all over the world!

About the Instructor: Brendan O'Meara is a writer who podcasts. He produces The Creative Nonfiction Podcast and Casualty of Words. He's also the author of Six Weeks in Saratoga: How Three-Year-Old Rachel Alexandra Beat the Boys and Became Horse of the Year. He works primarily in nonfiction with essay credits in Creative Nonfiction, The Good Men Project, and Chatauqua. His award-winning journalism has appeared in Mountain Home Magazine, the Register-Guard, Trail Runner Magazine, and Blood-Horse Magazine, among others.

The class size is limited to 25 and will be held in the Library Meeting Room inside Springfield City Hall. To ensure your spot please sign-up at the library’s reference desk or by calling 541-726-3766. Walk-in participants will be welcome as long as there are spaces available.

Each month, the Springfield Public Library hosts a free writing workshop for the public, presented by Wordcrafters in Eugene. All are welcome to join the free writing workshops. Adult library events are made possible by a sponsorship from the Springfield Public Library Foundation.
